Thank you for sharing the story of your engagement and wedding with all of us. It is interesting to see different styles of Jewish weddings. My husband and I were married almost eight years ago. When we used his tallis under the chuppah it was unheard of here. Now so many people are doing this.

Wow. What a BEAUTIFUL story and the wedding looks and sounds like it was beautiful, colorful, and uniquely personal to your one-time wedding event. I’m guessing the engagement was in 2002, however? Then you had an 8 month engagement?

Thank you so much for providing such a wonderfully detailed account of the entire process you and your husband went through before, during, and after getting married! It’s so wonderful to think about what I have waiting for me now, although I don’t even have anyone in mind at this point! (’m a relatively new convert to Judaism, so all of the processes are essentially new to me. But this has provided me great insight into what I have to look forward to once I finally do find “the one,” and how things will look and happen when I do!)
