Sarah Jessica Parker’s Biggest Fashion Regret

It’s hard to imagine one of the biggest style icons making a fashion faux pas, but in the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker opens up about her big regret – wearing a black wedding dress!
Parker married fellow actor Matthew Broderick in 1997 at the historic Angel Orensanz Foundation, a former Synagogue in the Lower East Side of New York. If she had to do it over again, she says she would “White it up. I’d wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn that day.”
While most of us don’t get second chances, Sarah did get her wish when her alter ego Carrie Bradshaw wore a great big white dress in the Sex and the City movie last summer.
For your wedding, are you going with a conventional or unconventional wedding dress?

For the record, this was not a Jewish wedding. The building in which it was held was originally built to be a synagogue but has not functioned as such for many, MANY years. Neither SJP or Matthew Broderick were raised in a Jewish home, though they both profess to be “cultural Jews.” The civil ceremony was officiated by Matthew’s sister, who is an minister.
